Many thanks, fellow traveler, to you and the seller for the chance to share my experience with BERLINER BAGS Vintage Leather Document Pouch. This is lightweight, well made, very sturdy, and accommodates bifolded 8/12x11" paper sheets. It is nicely tanned leather--but not cowhide, probably goatskin by looks and feel--that should last through many years of use as promised. Also, it's not relevant to me that it's designed in Berlin by a company called Berliner; it is a product of India and well worth its price.

The BERLINER BAGS Theo M document pouch actually turned out to be a perfect carrying case for my 8" E-book reader, which is ~5.75" wide x ~7.75" tall. If you're considering a similar use, I'll note that anything taller than 7.75" won't make it past the zipper, so keep that in mind. It's also worth noting that although Kindles and phones are shown as part of the marketing images, this pouch is not padded, so you should not expect top-tier impact protection for your electronics [in defense of this pouch, I'll mention that the cracked screen in my pictures is a screen saver, and my E-book reader is fine].Except for the branding, this pouch has the look, feel, and smell of rustic leather goods I've purchased from local artisans when travelling abroad -- if you're looking for luxury leather, this is not it -- what you get here is a functional leather product that you don't have to "baby" and that will proudly display every scratch it picks up along its [hopefully long] service life.On the subject of branding, I think the front patch is bordering on the obnoxiously-large, but it does not detract from the use of the pouch. The only minor let-down with this product is the leather wrist strap, which is very stiff and appears to be of lesser quality than the pouch itself; I have no use for it, but if you plan on carrying yours, be warned that there will be a break-in period before it achieves the compliance we generally associate with wrist straps. If you like leather and the company's philosophy of "slow fashion," the Theo M document pouch is a good buy.

This is a very nice bag. The leather feels good and is thick enough to stand up to heavy use. The walnut has a rich, aged leather look and the whole bag gives off a quality feel and you get that "good leather" smell. The hardware is definitely heavy duty. The description says that the zipper is YKK. I don't see that logo, but it's definitely a sturdy metal zipper, and is Berliner branded, so it's not a cheap generic. The D ring on the back is solid, brass toned metal (to match the tone of the bag) and seems to be solidly stitched in place. The strap isn't a great match. While the bag is walnut, the strap seems to be much closer to their brown. You don't have the same aged look. Certainly not a deal breaker, but it clashes slightly. The medium size would hold a small e-reader or tablet, but it doesn't have a lot of "give." The seams are sewn flat (no gusset at all), so thicker items will present more of a challenge. The inner pocket would probably hold a password or thin wallet. All in all, beautiful leather and nice craftsmanship at a very nice price.

I like leather goods; they usually last for decades instead of just years. I was pleased to find this good leather case for my smaller pad.The case seals well with quality leather treatment. It also becomes more flexible when oiled or treated. This is real leather, and it isn't thin, easy to tear lambskin (or the like) either. Think "work gloves" weight leather.I do wish they had an RFID protective layer in-between the leather and the cloth inner lining, but since that isn't part of the description, I'm not dinging them for not having it.This is a nice pouch and I've already assigned mine to permanent pad duty.
