If I could, I would rate this at 4.5 instead of 4 or 5. I love using this popcorn maker and for the most part it's very quick and easy to use! The section where the rotating pipe connects the motor mechanisms to the actual bucket the popping corn goes into, doesn't stay connected to the gear. If that makes sense. I have to constantly make sure the bucket is actually rotating instead of burning my popcorn which is pretty irritating. That is the only reason why I can't rate this as 5 stars. I'm not sure if I received a damaged one or defective but I am unable to walk away while the popcorn is working.

If my review saves someone else from purchasing this popcorn maker, then I've done my job. I purchased this for family movie nights, which are a big deal in our house. This was a Christmas Eve gift for our family. I assembled it, and my first major red flag was that there was no hole in the side of the popcorn maker to insert and screw in the little lever to tip the kettle to dump the popcorn. So we had to risk burning ourselves to dump it (whatever, we'd deal with it). On Christmas Eve, we started our movie and ran the popcorn maker for the first time; it worked well its first go. A couple of hours later, we switched the popcorn maker back on as we were ready to make another round of popcorn for movie #2, the kettle would spin, but it would not heat at all. I went through all of the troubleshooting steps on the website, and nothing. We tried again the next day hoping it would magically work again, and nothing. I contacted Nostalgia hoping for some help or maybe just a replacement part and the woman on the phone didn't care to help at all, she told me that because it had been within 30 days of purchase on Amazon that I needed to contact them. Amazon would only refund me and told me that I could repurchase. The only issue with this resolution is that I purchased this on sale for Black Friday, so if I wanted to repurchase, I would be spending more to do so. In the end, I had to disassemble this nightmare machine and return it for a refund. I'll never buy this brand again as the machine was trash and so was the customer service.

Smaller than I expected, but it works great. 1 batch of popcorn is enough for 2 people. Highly recommend using coconut oil in the machine for that theater taste. Was fairly simple to put together and it is not super difficult to clean.

This was a Christmas gift if I had time I would return it. It is very cheap looking. mostly plastic.. I hope it works better than it looks. It took time to put it together, but one person could easily do it.
