These two way radios are definitely decent. I have older H777's from Retevis as well, and these are a massive step up, both in terms of overall build and the range. They feel really rugged, and much more pro than my old ones. I'd say in terms of range I'm not really sure what the maximum would be but at distances where my old ones struggled these are super clear.The RF power is rated as 10W / 5W / 0.5W (depending on setting chosen), which is pretty impressive for something this size, and in theory should give pretty impressive range on open or high ground, although I've not had a chance to test the limits of this yet because everywhere I normally use them the signal has been great.There was a single programming cable included with the pair, and the software for these is easy to download from the Retevis website. This opens up loads of features and customisation.Great overall, they seem like a really good radio to me. I think If you are doing outdoor work around a farm, estate, or even just off camping then these are fairly ideal.

I mainly wanted these to take to festivals, to communicate with friends if we lose each other. I therefore wanted something with a fairly long range.These ones should suffice on that front. I've tried them up to around 1km, at which point they do struggle, but that's in a built up area. At somewhere like a festival, in a field, I'd expect the range to increase a fair bit.These radios have quite a few features, but the instructions aren't great and it's unclear how to access most of them. The manual keeps referencing software, but doesn't seem to mention which software you need or where to get it from. I eventually managed to find this on the Retevis website. Once downloaded it's fairly straightforward to use.There are only 16 channels installed by default, but you can program up to 200 using the software. You can also enable vox mode, whereby it will recognise and respond to your voice without you having to press the talk button. It's even possible to turn is into an FM receiver, so you can receive FM radio.For me, though, the basic, pre-installed functions will be enough. The walkie talkies do feel very rugged, like a drop on the concrete wouldn't pose much of an issue, and they fit comfortably in your hand.

Auch ist das einprogrammieren von UKW Radiosendern möglich. Was aber nur Sinn macht, wenn man seinen Standort nicht ständig wechselt. Ein scannen von Radiosendern ist nicht möglich, es werden nur die einprogrammierten Frequenzen gescannt. Das ist leider ein Nachteil.Ansonsten sind das gute Geräte.
