Wonderful condition and great music! Kander and Ebb were some of the best composers for musical theater.

The book contains every major song from the original broadway show, the movie, and the 1998 revival with Alan Cummings. It also includes the outtakes. I primarily bought the book for the outtakes and the songs from the original broadway musical. For it's completeness, I give it 5 stars. The standards are there, of course, but those songs appear in tons of compilations. I was more interested in songs like Good time Charlie and the Telephone Song. I'm always disappointed that vocal collections drop out everything but the hits of the show, and I was pleasantly surprised that this one didn't.I have an old copy of the Cabaret movie vocal selections book, and there's no comparison. This is the better book, hands down. However, I only played through it a few times, but didn't spend the time to compare with the score to see how much is a literal transcription verses a watered down version. Regardless, Maybe this Time is in a higher key than normal, which didn't bother me, but that does mean that some of the keys are different.. One tiny complaint - if you want the German lyrics for "Tomorrow Belongs to Me," it's not there. However, my edition DOES contain I Don't Care Much.

The last of the greatest Broadway Musicals that has a gripping story, great singable music, and a very talented composer and lyricist. The last great musical, because all that have come after have maybe one song u can sing, otherwise the Tony Awards have been given to trash, in my humble opinion. Where is the new Gershwin's, Kerns', Kander, Styne, et al

I was looking for Money, Money, Money and there it was. However, the version I was after starts in three in a bar (the 2008 production?) but this was based upon the version that appeared in the film - quite understandable.Great to have a book with deleted songs as well as the favourites.
